Blog Hop Candy

It's not too late to check out the INKlings Blog Hop & have a chance to win some lovely handmade goodies - I am contributing these 2 cards along with a stash of retired ribbon. All you need to do is start the Blog Hop here & comment on each of the 10 blogs before midnight AEST on 3rd April (sorry candy only available to Australian residents & non-SU! Demonstrators) I made these 2 cards using up some scraps from my Blog Hop layout & the Inlaid Embossing technique. It is a really simple technique - simply stick on your punched, cut or die cut images & then run the lot through the Bigshot. My first card uses die cut flowers from the Birds & Blooms Sizzlets & the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder My second card uses the butterfly from the new Strength & Hope stampset that have been inked in Daffodil Delight & the edges rolled in Tangerine Tango. Here is a close up to show you the inlaid embossing - I have used the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder for this one - I really don't know how I survived without a Bigshot, as I seem to use it on everything!

Stampsets: Strength & Hope, Inspired by Nature

Cardstock: Garden Green, Daffodil Delight,m Whisper White, Sweet Stitches DSP

Ink: Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, Wild Wasabi

Accessories: Basic Rhinestones, Birds & Blooms Sizzlets, Perfect Polka Dot, Vintage Wallpaper & Framed Tulips Embosing Folders

Australian Only Blog Candy

WOW - what a difference one year can make! Just over 12 months ago I made the decision to join Stampin' Up! as an Independent Demonstrator & it has been one of the best things I have ever done. I have made some lovely friends & learned so much about papercraft & stamping, been published & I also started this blog. I never thought that many people would be interested in looking at what I made, but soon this blog will have had 20,000 hits!!! As a thankyou to my loyal visitors I am offering up the following blog candy:

New unmounted Merci stampset - as used for my recently published cards here
Handmade bookmark
3x3 notecards & co-ordinating box

Only one entry per person & once comments reach 15 I will add extra goodies & keep adding extra for every additional 5 comments. Sadly I have had trouble posting things overseas in the past, so this candy is only open to Australian residents - however overseas visitors can enter in my 'Open Slather Blog Candy". To be in the running to win, leave me a comment on this post before 10am AEST Tuesday telling me what your favourite Stampin' Up! stampset is!

1K BLOG CANDY

Gosh imagine how excited I will be when the counter reaches 10k or even 100k (long way off, but I have seen blogs with much larger numbers, so it can happen). When I first started this blog, I didn't think that many people would be interested in checking out what I have been making. It has been so good for my self confidence & I think that my creations are improving also.

I have figured that my blog has been running for about 140 days - so by deducting 140 for my one visit per day (although I don't visit every day.....really I don't) that leaves 860 hits. Divide that by 140 days to get an ave of 6 hits/day. Now if each visitor checked my site once a week I could potentially have 42 regular people visiting my site (can you tell I used to work for an accountant?). I realise this is just a wild guess, as someone could visit once & decide not to come back again - but still & am liking the figures.

I have decided that in honour of my blogs achievement I am going to offer up some fantastic BLOG CANDY. There will be 2 candy packs & to win one all you have to do is leave a comment on this post before Friday 25th Jan. If you are having trouble commenting please let me know via email - alana@aussiebroadband.com.au

Here are the pics of what is up for grabs - not all of it is Stampin' Up! , but they are still great products.

1st prize - Decorated notebook (using the gorgeous Stampin' Up! Wild Rose stamp set), decorated candle (using Both Way Blossoms) & Tim Holtz vintage photo distress ink pad & re inker.

2nd prize - Rollagraph handle, ink cartridge & jelly bean wheel, silver mica magic ink pad & reinker, 2 x carl punches, pack of style stones & an inkums stamp set.
